ST just upped its academic cred yet again! An order came through for 25 copies from Brooklyn College- as part of the course syllabus in the classics department. Says our man Shenton:
…though the class is not itself part of the Classics program, it’s part of the core curriculum and is intended as an upper level philosophy/literature course for students that are not necessarily humanities majors.

Critical examination of issues of the self and society in works bysuch authors as Thoreau, Kafka, Duerrenmatt, Orwell, Dostoyevsky, Sartre, Camus, Ellison. Topics include reflections on the self andpersonal integrity, justice and responsibility, alienation.
